23 Weeks

Week: 23
Size: pomegranate
Baby’s job this week:  He is over a pound in weight and is measuring around 8 inches long.  Beginning this week he is going to start packing on the pounds!  By the end of this month he will be double the weight he is now!  His face is fully formed but needs a little more fat to fill it out.
Symptoms:  Swollen hands and feet.  Occasional leg cramps
Sleep:  Not bad but not as good as it was.  Some nights I wake up and can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours.
Maternity Clothes:  Just bought a couple more items at Motherhood Maternity!  On a couple of occasions I have caught their BOGO clearance items sale!  I love it and was able to buy 2 tops, a pair of shorts and a dress for $60.  Not bad!
Food Cravings:  Root beer Floats and jalapeno poppers!
Food aversions:  Nothing to report
What I miss: Wine and Dewey’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza
Movement:  This boy can kick!  His movement has become a bit more regular and I’m starting to pick up at what certain points of the day he’s most active.  First thing in the morning, after lunch and right before I go to sleep this little guy is excited!  Ryan felt the baby move and kick last week!  It was such a special experience for the both of us and I’m so glad Ryan was able to feel his little man move around in there.  He said he feels so much closer to the baby now and really apart of the experience 🙂
Gender: Boy!
Favorite moment of the week:  Definitely Ryan feeling the baby move and kick.  It was awesome!
What I’m looking forward to: Doctors appointment next week
Favorite Ryan quote:  He’s been on good behavior…

Have a great week!
